 2025 Texas SCTP State Championship

Pre-Squadding Opens May 1st @ 7:00 PM

Dear Coaches,

We’re excited to announce the rollout of the new Pre-Squadding Process for the 2025 Texas SCTP State Championship — a system many of you have requested. Modeled after SCTP Nationals and refined for Texas events, this system was successfully tested at Regionals and is now being expanded to State.

 Overview – What’s New for State

• Pre-squadding is optional, but only teams who submit complete squad requests with full payment by the deadline will receive priority scheduling.
• This is a multi-day event—while we understand some teams prefer single-day scheduling, this cannot be guaranteed due to field limitations.
 

This new format helps:

• Prevent unused squad slot hoarding

• Reduce congestion in the SHOT system

• Improve fairness and access to preferred rotations

 Key Requirements

All squads must be pre-built in SHOT under the SCTP American Discipline—not under “High School.”
→ Incorrect builds will void your request.

 State Championship Registration Timeline 

•  Pre-Registration Opens: Thursday, May 1 at 7:00 PM for HOA events only (Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays)

  • There is no Pre-registration for Super Sporting and all Doubles events. These will need to be scheduled during Open Registration.

• Deadline for Submission: Friday, May 2 at 5:00 PM — no late entries accepted
  • Payment Due: Immediately upon submitting your pre-registration form
  → If not paid within 24 hours, the request will be voided*

• Open Registration Opens: Sunday, May 11 at 7:00 PM

 *Special Payment Note:

For teams requiring payment by school district check, please notify the events team in advance so your pre-squad request can be properly flagged and held pending check arrival. 

 Squadding Priority Priority will be based on the timestamp of form submission plus receipt of full payment.
