Sign three forms: Consent/Waiver, Sportsmanship Contract, Medical Consent.
Give hardcopies to the coach (no uploads).
Coach sends you a link from the SHOT System.
Pay the $30 athlete fee; double-check your profile shows PAID.
After practice #6 you’re eligible for State and National Championships—time to compete!
A parent, teacher, or club volunteer serves as Head Coach / Team Admin.
Click Create New Team and follow the prompts.
Pay the one-time $20 team fee (goes into your MidwayUSA Foundation endowment).
Use Invite Coach/Volunteer inside SHOT.
Each adult pays $40, completes a background check, and finishes the free SafeSport module.
Any friendly gun club works.
Add your practice facility or school as “Also Insured.” Pull the Insurance Summary and contact Leslie Casanova if you need help.
These can be spread across fall and spring—whatever fits local sports calendars.
Add athletes in SHOT and pay $30 per shooter.
Grab the Sportsmanship Contract and Medical Release (coach keeps hard copies; no upload).
Finish the sixth practice and your new team is fully eligible for State and National Championships !
