📌 Athlete Classification: How You’ll Be Grouped at the Texas All-Stars Showcase
This is not a registered NSCA, ATA, or NSSA shoot. However, because athletes are coming from a wide range of organizations—SCTP, YESS, 4H, FFA, and others—we are adopting NSCA-style Concurrents as a familiar and fair way to classify performance for this event.
Why NSCA Concurrents?
Using age-based NSCA Concurrents gives college recruiters a consistent lens to evaluate athletes across all backgrounds, and ensures every athlete is competing on a level playing field for awards—no matter which program they normally shoot with.
You may see NSCA classes like Master, AA, A, B, etc. during online registration on the Clayrank platform. These will not be used. Instead, we are only using the NSCA Concurrent divisions based on age.
Examples of NSCA Concurrents used for this event include:
Sub-Junior – Has not reached the 16th birthday by Jan. 1 of the target year
Junior – Has not reached the 21st birthday by Jan. 1 of the target year
If you have an NSCA number, you may include it during registration to help match your division—but it’s not required. Athletes without an NSCA number will be classified based on age alone.
Here is how awards will be handled:
This is a completely individual competition—there are no team or squad awards, only individual recognition based on performance.
